Teton Energy Corp. (Nasdaq:TEC)

Hey guys, I'm new to trading and was wondering what some of the more experienced traders thought about this one. Tetron is an independent oil, gas exploration, and production company focused on the acquistion, exploration, and development of North American properties. Its trading at .38 just .12 off 52 wk low of $6.43 and volume has been very high last few days, but can't find any news. Since, I am new, I'm not just looking for a reccomendation, but some insight as to how and where you do most of your research. Thanks for helping a newbie out.

Hey Greg,

Its probably due to TEC releasing their earnings on May 7th, thats what I see from just peeking at it anyway.

After earnings thier pps actually went up? Why the high volume?

Technically, it didn't go up. Its almost back, to the penny, of where it was before the "pump" leading up to the announcement. Typically, in the environment were in, the PPS rises before an earnings announcement (its simply a pump, thats all; or in "anticipation" of the earnings release, if you can call it that), and unless it blows analysts out of the water, the PPS will likely just fall off quite a bit, as it did in TEC's case.
