Hemispherx Biopharma, Inc. (Hemispherx) is a biopharmaceutical company engaged in the clinical development, manufacture, marketing and distribution of new drug therapies based on natural immune system enhancing technologies for the treatment of viral and immune based chronic disorders. The Company’s products include Ampligen and Alferon N and Injection. Ampligen includes application as a treatment for Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) and as a vaccine enhancer(adjuvant) for both therapeutic and preventative vaccine development. Alferon N is an indicator for refractory or recurring genital warts. Alferon LDO (Low Dose Oral) is an application under early stage development targeting influenza and viral diseases. Ampligen is an experimental drug undergoing clinical development for the treatment of CFS.

Merck developed this drug in the 1960's (yes, its been around that long! it aint going NOWHERE till its approved!)

HEB has its "pride and joy" Ampligen, up for approval on May 25th. Yes, it was delayed 3 months from the last trial, but from what I can tell, they just wanted to submit some more information to the FDA to make their approval case stronger. Ampligen has been around forever, and it seems that its time may have finally come.

If approved, this drug will be the first one in the industry to treat chronic fatigue syndrome, and it also looks like there are possibilities for it as well such as treating AIDS and guess what...THE FLU!!

Here is some more info from another investor who has been following HEB and has a good grasp of this stock.

This is sort of a perfect storm of things
happening. The pps is low mainly because of the long haul it took to
get to this point (i.e. lots and lots of investment money spent on
R@D) along with a slew of history that can be easily researched by
anyone using google and yahoo. But, the most attractive thing is this
is a drug that is proven to work for not only CFS, but a slew of other
applications as well including even HIV! Ampligen has been around
longer than I have, and yet it has never come this close to being
approved for marketing by the FDA. Now the stars are aligned. And,
Ampligen is very likely to get approval. There is no reason to suspect
another delay. The last delay was because HEB presented additional
data within three months of the original FDA decision date.

So we have a drug that is the only known drug to work for CFS.
HEB already has designated Orphan Drug status and protection from the
FDA for Ampligen.
CFS has gained recognition as a real debilitating disease that plagues
millions in the USA and abroad. These people are going to rush to the
pharmacy for Ampligen once it is available!

We have a stock that has been ravaged over the years leaving investors
scared shtless. Making the pps incredibly low right before the big
day.

Lots of explosive gains in biotech due to FDA decisions lately. So,
plenty of trading money out there that will soon rush into HEB stock
and traders drooling over opportunities like this one.
The pps a couple years ago was over $2.00 and that was primarily
because investors saw huge promise in Ampligen.
HEB as a whole is going to be a strong competetor in the long run
because of their focus on drugs to treat viral infections. All they
need is this big win for their baby Ampligen.


I am very confident it is going over $3.00 in a few weeks (May 25). And, possibly double that to $6.00 within a year.

So it seems like there is a good chance of FDA approval on May 25th. At a current price of $.637, this should ramp up to over $1 in the coming weeks and IF approved on the 25th, should experience a POP like CTIC and VNDA have today.

If someone here who is experienced in biotech stocks could check this out to confirm our expectations, that would be awesome. I've only been trading a few months, so please take my advice cautiously.

I've got an order in for the morning.

Willing to ride a pharma wave for awhile and this looked like a great spot to jump in pending FDA stuff at the end of the month.

With CTIC and DNDN in everyone's mind, there might be a good anticipatory run-up pre May 25.

I placed about 40% of what I am going to use in it this morning. (Remember, thats only about 2% to most of you lol). It is a volitale stock as of late, but just didnt want to risk it, I can average down. Man bio is moving lately, seems like everything you look at is up!


Spec plays galore! Remember thats what it is, and dont let your analysis be affected by the VNDA aura
