Upgrades and Downgrades

I think we'll stay within the $11 - $12 range. If Earnings are completely bad then we'll knock down to $10 and then slowly climb back up. However if we surprise, we could break $13 and shoot up to $15-- might not happen considering we haven't had any major news from them .

Interesting volume on the calls again -

Chart looks like a small bullish flag but we need volume to shoot this up so I think it's all up to earnings now.

Look at this intraday movement on CVX -- Almost $1 swing -- talk about a profit potential right? These are the types of swings we live for in options land!

WASHINGTON (MarketWatch) -- The Obama administration announced on Friday yet another attempt to prevent a tidal wave of foreclosures, this time focusing on homeowners who've lost their jobs.

Previous efforts to prevent foreclosures have been failures, for the most part: The incentives haven't been strong enough to get lenders to go along.

For its part, the new plan increases the amount of money going to banks and other lenders if they'll write down the principal of the loan.

In other words, more taxpayer money will go to the very bankers that helped inflate the housing and credit bubbles. Read our complete story on the administration's new plan.

In most cases, the government's programs have merely postponed the inevitable, allowing borrowers who can't afford their mortgage payments to keep paying for a few months longer. So far, only about 200,000 mortgages have been permanently modified into affordable home loans.
