Default LULU - Lululemon Athletica

I have been holding LULU since August 14, 2009 at a purchase price of $20.47. Lululemon has consistantly beaten analyst expectations and, even through a recession, produced outstanding growth numbers over 2008.

The Lululemon brand is becoming well known by youth and adults alike, they have grown their product line to include childrens clothes, larger sizes and men's clothing.

Looking at Lululemon's chart, we are still in a long uptrend. Buy in around $30.72 to hold providing the trend continues or sell at $40 for a quick 20% gain. A reversal in the trend marked by a close under the 50 day moving average should be considered an exit signal. Fourth Quarter results are expected in the beginning of March.

Current share price is a fair buy in, watch for a drop below the 20 day moving average at $31.08. Lulu has trended upwards very aggressively for several months, but the trend is still bullish. Next earnings release should be around March 9th, which will take the Christmas sales season, and the New Years resolution season (increased purchasing of gym wear) into effect. Keep an eye on this one.

Default Looking good

Although we've seen a small price correction we haven't fallen below the 100 day moving average. Look at a 1 year chart, you'll see that the stock price is still eeking it's way up using the 100 day moving average as support at the 50 day as resistance. When the convergence happens, my opinion is that we're more likely to pop above rather than below. Christmas sales are to be included in this quaterly report, as the previous report just missed them. I still have faith in LULU. Walk into any gym and look around, go take a yoga class, look around. LULU is selling, they are marketing, and I'm holding LULU until an obvious change in stock movement over a longer period.

Hard to say right now, we just broke through the 50 day moving average, which was acting as a resistance level. A couple weeks ago when the SP was around $27 / $28 would have been preferable to now. If the current Bullish pattern continues, anywhere around $29.50 (Under the 50 day moving average) would be good.

Good Luck.
