Default URRE Uranium Resources

This is a Uranium/energy play for the short and long term. Recent movement has been purely SPECULATION

I found this company when I was doing some research on the run up on Uranium due in part because of the possible ETF buing of uranium. First I am going to give my reasoning for why I think this has some potential.
Uranium Rises for a Second Week on Speculation About ETF Buying - Bloomberg.com
  • Uranium has been hit hard with oil prices. It was $120/pound in 2007 but is now at $40/pound.
  • Because nuclear power generation still provides the single best hope for generating enough electricity to have a meaningful impact on carbon emissions reductions, it seems reasonable to expect that uranium prices will rise. The problem, of course, is the long lead times and enormous expense of building new nuclear plants, especially in the US. Outside the US, Britain and Korea are actively discussing plans for more nuclear generation, and China and India are both known to have significant interest in nuclear power.
  • Current worldwide production of uranium falls significantly short of consumption and the gap between production and consumption has been filled by secondary supplies, such as inventories held by governments, utilities and others in the fuel cycle, These secondary supplies are currently meeting nearly a third of worldwide demand, but as they are depleted future production will have to rise closer to demand."

    Uranium Resources, Inc.

Link : Pressure on Uranium Prices, Real or Not? (CCJ, URRE, DNN, NLR) - 24/7 Wall Street (also mention URRE)

Now, about the company:
ABOUT URANIUM RESOURCES, INC.
Uranium Resources Inc. explores for, develops and mines uranium. Since its incorporation in 1977, URI has produced over 8 million pounds of uranium by in-situ recovery (ISR) methods in the state of Texas where the Company currently has ISR mining projects. URI also has 183,000 acres of uranium mineral holdings and 101.4 million pounds of in-place mineralized uranium material in New Mexico. The Company acquired these properties over the past 20 years along with an extensive information database. URI's strategy is to capitalize on the strong global market for uranium by fully exploiting its resource base in Texas and New Mexico, acquiring new assets and through joint ventures or partnership.

I see this as at 3.00 by late summer and potentially much higher if energy prices increase. There are still many countries that are trying to increase their energy production through nuclear energy. I see it only to increase.
