Default Pumping

I think that we are talking about different definitions of

"pumping" Pumping as I think of it, is part of a "pump and

dump" scheme. Where the company itself or a large shareholder

pays some of the penny stock websites in cash or shares to

do "marketing" or "PR" . The sites do a mass email campaign

to millions of people telling them how the stock is the best

thing since sliced bread and they better buy now before they

miss out. The price shoots up sometimes 100% or more and

then when the "promoters" think that it has reached its peak,

they sell out their millions of shares., causing the price to

fall just as quickly as it went up. Then they move on to the

next one. Here is an article I posted in another thread on

"cellar boxing" it is kinda long but very informative.

"Cellar Boxing"

I dont think that anyone is manipulating BIPH, it may have

received some attention from our site, but I dont think that

anything funny is going on. BIPH is a longer term play, as

they are still developing and testing their product. Im sure

that there will be some occasional spikes and dips, but the big

payoff may be over a year away. Hope this helps.

No need to apologize tdanco, I just wanted to state my definition

of pumping, as I think of it in a negative way. But I think you are

right about the "hype" There are many reasons the stock could

have jumped like that on Friday. I have not looked into it but

it is possible there was some institutional buying. If someone

has time it would be interesting to see if we could figure out

what happened.

This stock has a history of trading at or near .013 for some time. It was driven down to there by a dilutive financing agreement they had for two years and paid off last year.

A move up + .001 from .013 to .014 is not grand bounce.

The lower price of .01 and below has been a result of the massive market drop.

Well in this stocks case the 40% January / February drop just happened to be from .013 to .009

Gotta confess, the risk to reward with this stock is just too high to ignore so I took the plunge and bought 70000 shares on Friday!

If the price drops/when (hopefully when!) I can release funds from HEB, I'll buy some more again.

Question Sharebuilder :-(

Sharebuilder won't let me buy this stock. Are there any suggestions as to where to migrate to from Sharebuilder? All I care for are major U.S. exchanges and the pink slips & OTC. And options, of course.

Thanks!

My original broker didn't trade OTCs or Pinks so I've just opened an E*TRADE account which does allow me to buy these types of stock.

I agree with AIM as far as E-Trade working. However, I deal solely with U.S. trades using Scottrade, it is an awesome platform. Nothing fancy, but gets orders out with a quickness.
