Don't do that! There is a January call with a strike price of 5 dollars that is paying 65 bucks per contract.

Siri is a decent stock and that's an 18% return on your investment right off the bat.

too late. I am starting to get into this more and more.

atm though I just started trading and lack the confidence to hold on to stocks for too long. I've noticed that I need to build up a bit of confidence as I have been playing very conservative.

thanks for the advice though. I am learning, slowly but surely!

okay so some bad news for those taking the OTC Alli / or Orlistat
- but i am thinking that in light of this, the FDA will be looking for that EXTRA SAFEobesity drug when the NDA's are all submitted (arna, orex, vivus)
-> and ARNA is the front runner there

added to that is a BUY IF today from americanbulls.com
http://www.americanbulls.com/StockPa...ker=NASD&TYP=S

http://www.fda.gov/NewsEvents/Newsro.../ucm180057.htm
FDA Issues Early Communication about Ongoing Safety Review of Weight Loss Drug Orlistat
Review includes both prescription drug Xenical and OTC drug Alli

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration announced today that it is reviewing adverse event reports of liver injury in patients taking the weight loss drug orlistat, marketed as the prescription drug Xenical and the over-the-counter medication Alli.
Between 1999 and 2008, the FDA received 32 reports of serious liver injury in patients taking orlistat. Of those cases, 27 reported hospitalization and six resulted in liver failure. Thirty of the adverse events occurred outside the United States. The most commonly reported adverse events included yellowing of the skin or whites of the eyes (jaundice), weakness, and stomach pain.

This article came out yesterday

Arena attracting bearish trade-08/26/2009

Then the stock dumps 5% today.

Any thoughts??

It seems with all the problems with weight loss drugs lately it's becoming increasingly difficult for small cap pharm stocks to push them to much larger companies.

It could be awhile before we see a jump in this one simply because the larger pharm companies will sit on the sidelines and wait for the risks to emerge. On the flipside if the drug IS safe, it will be more costly for these large companies, and more profitable for us.

I sold my ARNA shares @ 4.73 because there are some issue with the obesity drugs recently, so I don't feel comfortable putting money on it at the moment.

I moved the money from ARNA into CRTY.

I'm surprised no one has commented about ARNA's after hours today. Up 35% to 6.67 pps.

For all of us who sold, let the head slapping begin...
