Default Recommendation of software

hi,

Currently I have some money in my bank and I wished to start investing in stock. I'm looking for some free charting software? Any good software to recommend?

Bomb

QT - fully functional spyware when in free mode (it rings home).
Thinkorswim - completely free with superb data stream
MT - very good feeds overall, but no verifable volume data (tick volume only).

MT and ToS should be able to satify your charting needs, barring the point and figure chart, which QT has implemented beautifully.

Certainly not Spyware. Pretty much all apps these days 'call home'.

The only difference between Registered and non is the backfill. TD Ameritrade users get free registered version, whereas I pay $14/month for Registered.

Na, it's spyware in free mode - you can install a new copy and see what IPs it wants to punch through the firewall when you start up. One of the four IPs it wants to ring to yields unsavoury monitor (ringing QT home page is quite legit, not so much with others).
