hey Miles. got a question about giving rep. when it asks me how many points i want to give ~~> will those points be deducted from a pool that i have accumulated ? or is it simply a way that i can judge the level of goodness and the points given kind of thing ?

Look under your avatar and you'll see something like this:

Rep Power: 16
Reputation: 360

So in your case you can +/- someone for a total of 16 points (Rep Power) by using the .

If you use the thumbs up/down on a post the user given/taken half of your Rep Power. So in your case 8 points.

cool..im witchya on that. but after i give some rep, does my total rep power decrease as well?

lets say i give eight points rep, will my total go down to eight..or will my total still be sixteen.
