Hello all,

Regis is an australian miner with some recent developments with should drive the price further up. They shareholders recently took "power" as they decided that current managment didnt develop the current prospects quick enough; it was a good deal for the shareholders. The group who took the control is Newmont Mining, a well known gold miner. The rebel shareholders took action because they said the former Regis board of three was taking too long to develop the Duketon gold project in Western Australia.

I bought in at Regis the beginning of this month (.4$) and current price is .61$, they price accoding to analysts should be around $.91 to $1. For financial data, here is Q1 (march 2009):

I would like to recommend this as another speculative buy. Personally i do like the Newmont group, as they have a very good reputation when it comes to developing a mine in relative short orders and i hope to see the .90$ within 2 months.

Okay, it will take some time the new board will make its move. According to my broker it could be another 2 months before they will announce a time frame and plans for the developments of the goldmines. This is a long term play in for the moment, but once they will start this mine has the potential to be one of the bigger players on the aus market. It is in their intrest and intentions to fasttrack the development of this mine (read post above).
