Post High Yield Dividend stocks versus Growth: Plan 2020

When a company earns a profit, it has two options- either to reinvest the earnings in growth opportunities like most of the growth stocks do or to distribute the earnings to its shareholders to make them happy. An investor can develop a likeness for either of these type of stocks i.e., Growth stocks or Dividend stocks, based on his/her nature of investing, investment goals, risk appetite, investment strategy, market scenario, and many more factors.
As 2019 is coming to an end, we have screened a few growths and dividend stocks for 2020. We have seen that many companies that reinvest their earnings for growth purposes are able to increase shareholders’ wealth over time. Which companies would you like to invest in the coming year?

Default Can't give you any precise advice yet I was notified through the newspaper that 2020

...was the year where China will potentially switch from coal to fracking as a source of power. This will lay waste to, unfortunately, a much damaged already empire with its precise ecosystem.

Still. Nasdaq website only points to motley fool articles when trying to figure something regarding fracking stocks ( in case you didn't knew it's the use of a very toxic mix of water and oils to extract shale gases, amongst others) although it had a nice selection of other articles from a few minutes to an hour or so when I looked on sunday evening.

If natural gas replaced coal, that climate changing pollution could be cut in half. (according to scientific american)

It's obviously not going to happen and this article points to some hint on how troubling it could be
Around 200 North American oil and gas companies have declared bankruptcy since 2015, but the mountain of debt taken out a few years ago is finally coming due. Roughly $41 billion in debt matures in 2020, which ensures more bankruptcies will be announced this year. The wave of debt may also force the industry to slam on the breaks as companies scramble to come up with cash to pay off creditors.
