Hondros Education Group Announces Acquisition Of Additional Phoenix Real Estate School

PR Newswire

PHOENIX, Oct. 10, 2017 /PRNewswire/ – Arizona School of Real Estate & Business (ASREB), a division of the Hondros Education Group (HEG), announced today it is teaming up with Westford College in a partnership that will further unify real estate education in Arizona. This is the second such purchase for HEG in 2017.

Based in the Phoenix area, Westford will pool its talents with ASREB and another school owned by HEG, Arizona Academy of Real Estate (AARE), to represent the largest real estate program in the state. HEG has established a plan to smoothly transition employees, students and the real estate industry by the end of the year, when all staff will be one team and all classes one program under the ASREB brand.

“We are excited to have Westford College join us in providing high quality real estate education in Arizona,” said Linda Hondros, chief executive officer, Hondros Education Group. “The partnership will allow us to better serve the thriving Arizona housing market, particularly Northwest Phoenix, with well-trained real estate professionals.”

The reimagined institution sets out to achieve a new, higher standard of real estate education in the state. The strategic foundation of the partnership is the fact that together, these Arizona real estate education institutions will provide additional resources to professionals and students alike.

“At Westford, we remain committed to providing a solid foundation to our students and maintaining our relationships with students and industry professionals,” says Andy Israel, co-owner, Westford College. “We are looking forward to building on these connections and establishing new ones through our partnership with ASREB.” Andy Israel and his brother, Stu Israel, will continue to serve for ASREB as educators and in advisory capacities.

“Through these partnerships we are merging institutions that highly value quality education, the result of which will be an even better customer experience and the ability to meet the constantly growing need for skilled real estate professionals in the Phoenix area,” says Tina Lapp, president, ASREB.

The combined institution will offer students and professionals the benefit of a wider access to leading real estate education programs, industry experts and tools that are designed to stay a step ahead of an ever-changing real estate market.

Over the past 15 years, HEG has acquired more than a dozen real estate schools across the country. The AARE was acquired by HEG in February.

“At the Academy, our goal has always been to help build a solid foundation for our industry through quality education and we have certainly continued that with the Hondros Education Group and the Arizona School of Real Estate and Business,” said Debra Prevost, former president, Arizona Academy of Real Estate. “The partnership has inspired me and my team and helped us look forward to what the future holds.” Prevost continues to serve the school in an advisory capacity.

Westford College is the combined operation of three real estate schools that have operated successfully in Arizona since 1965. Ford Schools of Real Estate was founded in 1965. Western College of Real Estate was founded in 1978 and later formed a joint marketing venture with Lovett Schools of Real Estate in 1982. In 1996, all three companies merged.

ASREB, AARE and Westford have consolidated to a new corporate office and campus at 7350 North Dobson Road, Suite 120, Scottsdale, Arizona, with five additional satellite campuses across the Phoenix metropolitan area. Visit asreb.com for program details and additional information.
